The University of Ballarat is one of Australia's most progressive universities, with a history of providing tertiary education and training for over 135 years, making it's the third oldest tertiary institution in Australia. The University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and is funded by the Australian Government.

The University has six campuses housing a student population of over 22,000. It provides educational and training programs from vocational training to undergraduate degrees and postgraduate qualifications including Graduate Certificates and Diplomas, Bachelor Degrees, Postgraduate Diploma, Master by coursework and Masters and Doctorates by Research.
