University of Ballarat's MBA is a generalist degree intended for those with some practical experience who now wish to widen their managerial knowledge and skills.
The philosophy underlying this type of MBA is to enable the students to deal with the many facets of business and management. The program aims to develop skills in critical thinking, research and analysis through individual and team based work.
A feature of the University of Ballarat's MBA is that it focuses on these critical areas of integration whilst allowing some specializations to accommodate specific career paths.
It offers an optional Health Services Management specialization which introduces the concepts, leadership and practices in Health Services Management within the context of public sector health provision.

The MBA consists of 12 units, each worth 15 credit points, for a total of 180 credit points. Students will complete 5 core units, 1 cap stone unit and 6 electives. The specialist streams available in Hong Kong are General Management and Health Services Management.

- Entry Requirement

- A bachelor degree or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years work experience; OR
- A diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years work experience at an appropriate level, OR
- Five years of work relevant experience at an appropriate level; OR
- A tertiary qualification and participation in the University of Ballarat industry immersion program
English proficiency requirement
Students will be expected to have at least one of the following:- A TOEFL of 550 or IELTS 6.0 or equivalent;
- An approved tertiary qualification (2 years minimum) where the medium of instruction was English or where the local University English proficiency requirement for graduation has been met;
- An English proficiency test to be moderated and administered by the University of Ballarat and its partners

- Application Procedure

Each applicant must submit the following items during application:
- Completed application form
- Original and certified copies of certificates of educational qualifications, including a full transcript with grades
- Employer's reference letter
- Evidence of English Proficiency
- Three recent passport-size photographs
- A copy of Hong Kong Identity Card or Passport
The University will make a decision based on the information submitted. Students who are admitted will received a written offer of admission to the program from the University.
