The Master of Nursing is designed to prepare nurses for senior roles in nursing and in the health care system. It is a program assessed by coursework. The aims of the program are to prepare candidates with beginning competence in research methods and design and provide candidates with important current evidence based health care and nursing information. the main objectives are to provide an academic avenue for professional development, and a knowledge and comprehension of research methods and design and of evidence based practice.
University of Wollongong and IRI. HK Limited is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.

- Program Structure

The Master of Nursing is a 48 credit point program that consists entirely of coursework. There are 4 core subjects that must be completed (24 credit points). The remaining 24 credit points are made up from the elective subjects listed below.

- Duration

The program consists of FOUR semesters which are normally studied around TWO years on a part-time basis. Each semester which covers TWO subjects will be conducted through an offshore Intensive Seminar block lecture schedule, fully taught by UoW Faculty members.

- Entry Requirement

A Bachelor degree in nursing of at least 3 years duration or a graduate certificate in nursing from a recognized tertiary instruction. International students arte required to have achieved an overall IELTS score of 6.4 with a level of at least 6.0 in all bands, reading and writing, speaking and listening or equivalent qualification. Students that have studied their undergraduate qualifications or previous qualifications entirely in English will also be deemed to have satisfied the English language requirement.
Students with the related postgraduate and/or professional qualifications can obtain a maximum of 12 credit points exemption.

Each applicant must submit the following items during application:
- Completed application form
- Two certified true copies of academic qualifications and official transcripts
- Two copies of Nurse Registration Certificate
- Resume
- Two recent passport-size photographs
- Application Fee of the Program
The University will make a decision based on the information submitted. Students who are admitted will received a written offer of admission to the program from the University.
